Winson Green, Brookfield and West Summerfield is a melting pot area, with many people from different parts of the world living here. We have significant populations of people who have Asian, European, Caribbean and African heritage – and it’s something that many people like about living here. But we’ve also been identified by Birmingham City Council as a priority neighbourhood.
There is a significant level of worklessness, higher than the city average, and we know that people are concerned about the cleanliness of their streets, crime levels, making sure there’s more for young people to do and the getting better, affordable homes to live in.
