Count down to 2011 Census- Job opportunities

Posted on 26th May 2010 by

The 2011 Census is fast approaching and as neighbourhood Managers we are also  helping to raise awareness. It is good for Birmingham that we get a complete and successful census, because the more people counted the more money the City receives. It is mandatory to complete the questionnaire, failure to do so can lead to a £1000 fine

You can help make the census in Birmingham a success by completing the  census questionnaire and assisting those around you to do likewise. There are residents whose first language isn’t English who may need your help or support from the census team in completing census questionnaire-click on link for more information and contact details   2011 Census. Unsociable Behaviour

I am highlighting this hotspot which is in my locality  because we are digusted with the level of flytippig across the neighbourhood.

Why are some residents putting their waste out three days before bin collection?

This picture was taken on a  Tuesday while the bin collection day is on a Friday, surely this is unacceptable.

As you can see the bags are blocking the pavement and in turn is a  safety issue. and  also  contribute to  increase of rats which is of major concern across the neighbourhood. For enquiries and information about rats and mice, you can contact 0121-303-6007/6993

The bags  were later removed by the Fleet and Waste  Management Team but from past experience we know that the problem will resurface within days, so there need to be long term solution. (more…)
